Domestic Violence—Kids Are Victims Too, was produced by
Cope 24 to get ahead of this global problem. According to the National
Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 1 in 15 children are exposed to
intimate partner violence each year, and 90% of these children are
eyewitnesses to this violence. In addition, women between the ages of
18-24 are most commonly abused by an intimate partner. By the time
students graduate from high school, they are exposed and susceptible to
abuse themselves. It is the mission of Cope 24 and the participants who
shared their stories to create change by building awareness and
implementing educational strategies and solutions to break this cycle of
abuse for future generations.
